Develop Strategies
After defining key objectives, organizations should outline long-term strategies that support these goals, enabling the transition from planning to execution. These Strategies, designed to last months or years, should define done criteria using a SMART goal approach. These goals should be linked to the key results in your objectives. This clarity in the done criteria allows for effective tracking of progress and resource allocation decisions. Aligning Strategies with objectives enhances accountability and motivation, enabling teams to see their contribution to the organization's mission. Well-defined strategies ensure continuous evaluation, informed decision-making, and timely adjustments to maintain progress toward goals. For large Strategies, an organization may opt to break them down into smaller work streams, called Initiatives.
